Enjoy a day out at Exmoor Zoo home to 175 species of animals and only 4 miles away, or venture further to Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (5 miles), set in 28 acres of spectacular gardens. Combe Martin (7 miles) is a pretty seaside village with a lovely bay which is popular for kayaking and paddleboarding. Other places to visit nearby are the stunning beaches that North Devon is famous for, including Woolacombe (14 miles), a mecca for surfing.
On a complex of two cottages, this former barn where the baby calves of this working farm were born, has been converted into a charming and full-of-character holiday home. It boasts oak beams, a vaulted ceiling, and original stone throughout. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room is a great place to relax and catch up with a family movie on the TV and enjoy a tasty dinner from the fully equipped kitchen. There is a twin room on the ground floor and a family bathroom with a free-standing bath, a walk-in shower and WC. Alternatively, take the steps to the mezzanine bedroom with a double bed.
Outside is an enclosed courtyard with a patio set, where you can enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple or a morning coffee. There is also a shared area and a games room with table tennis, plus resident goats and chickens.
